Dragons of Abyss Main Guild Moving to US-Stormrage
As most you know, I have been back playing WoW again so far for over a month. I moved my Paladin over to Stormrage and entered a guild there. I like the server so much more than Korialstrasz. I have convinced a few close friends from this guild to come with me. Now, I am considering restarting Dragons of Abyss on Stormrage! Hopefully this comes are good news to you. It will not be as hardcore as we were in WotLK, but will be more serious than we were in BC. With that in mind, everyone who is interested and willing to take the $25 transfer service fee is welcome to come over and join us! I understand a lot of us need to level up and gear up. I understand this and would love to get it going. We will only be going into raiding one tier late, and with nerfs to the previous tier, I think we'll be in really good standing to push some progression at a more lax pace. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, mail Fhraelaok in-game, or one of my alts, mail me on here, or leave a post in the Forums. As soon as the guild is created there, we will have another WoWStead site for it just as the Azjol-Nerub DoA had. Also, we could use a Vent server. I've considered using TeamSpeak as a small server hosted by myself is free. Hope to hear from you guys!

Faithful/Loyal Members Invited to Move With Us
You should all know by now that Bribarian and myself have moved on past World of Warcraft. I still think about WoW a lot and must admit, I miss the raiding environment. However, I don't miss the attitudes. But this isn't about random people, this is about you guys, our most loyal and faithful members.
We are frequently playing Runescape and Minecraft. I also play Forsaken World. We are posting this in hopes of bringing over anyone still loyal to the core and willing to try a new game. Runescape is both free and pay to play. For only $5.95 a month, you can have all access to all features in the game. As well, for about $15.00 you can play Minecraft and you own it! It's not a monthly subscription!
In Runescape we have our clan running again, and invite you all to join even if you are just there as a free player! We have fun events and help one another, so if you are new and need help don't be afraid to ask! There are scammers in Runescape, but easy to avoid them! If it seems too good to be true, it is. Just that simple!
In Minecraft, we will be opening a server for our loyal and faithful members from all platforms. You do however, have to buy Minecraft to play. We do not charge you to play on it and it won't be up 24/7. Once we get it up and going, we will have posts about it, including times it will be up and who is welcome in it. You will have to be on a whitelist to be let in. We don't want any griefing, so we need to know who you are.
Please join us on either game!
Our Runescape forums are at the following address:

Our Minecraft forums/general forums are at the following address:

Thank you for reading this, best wishes! We miss you all!

Dragons of Abyss - Runescape
Greetings everyone! Let me start off by wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and exceptionally wonderful New Years!
Now, I wanted to let you guys know that you are missed, but honestly, the game is not missed whatsoever. Bri and myself have picked up our old Runescape habit, in a much more relaxed and enjoyable way (thanks to WoW believe it or not).
For those who don't know, Runescape is another MMO. It's a very enjoyable game. It doesn't quite have the graphics or same gameplay as WoW, but for those who are looking for a more casual, relaxed play-style, look no further!
If you recall, I spoke about our origination from Runescape! That's right, the guild was originally one of the first real clans on Runescape. We were a very large clan before they became super popular and a common every day word around Runescape. We incurred many Clan Wars, and never once lost one. We triumphed and were one of the best! Now we are back on there, but not really as a clan, but more as a community. If you are interested, swing on by.
If you want to learn more about Runescape, please go to www.runescape.com or e-mail dragonsofabyss@comcast.net! We would love to see those who are willing to come over, actually come over. You can play a lot of it for free! However, if you want membership in Runescape, it's merely $5 a month. Now that's a great deal for the years of gameplay you can get out of it. That's $60 a years, the same price ONE console game would cost you, and ONE THIRD the price of WoW. No stress, no button mashing, no gearscore, no one yelling at you for doing something wrong, no pressure to be a top guild.
I'll leave it at that. I will be updating our homepage of www.dragonsofabyss.com soon to reflect Runescape and other various things I have been wanting to do. I do hope you guys like the logo above, it is the Runescape logo but adapted for our Clan/Guild name, just like our WoW one! Only this one was done by myself.
Oops, forgot to add this part. If you get in Runescape, you can play on any world and world hop, and you have only one character per account, but that character can do everything! Add Bribarian2 and Fhraelaok to your friends list (little green icon) and get in touch with us! Join the Clan Chat (yellow icon) of Fhraelaok.
Thanks for reading the long, long news post. Merry Wishes holiday goers!

Happy Holidays from DoA
I want to wish everyone a very happy holiday season and fantastic adventures going into the new Expansion. As well as our announcement at our Meeting today, I wanted to make a quick post about what's going on with the guild.
We've had quite a few raiders leave, but that opened the guild to a more friendly fun-loving environment as we once were. Just as everyone must do from time to time, Bribarian and myself will be taking a hiatus until further notice. We are going to put more focus on our real lives and family for the Holiday Season and see what happens thereon. But do not fret! We have promoted a couple people to Co-Master who have been with the guild since the beginning on WoW. Please check our roster. They will be the folks you will want to listen to and go to for leadership. Again these people don't play constantly but do have a mature outlook and an amazing dedication!
If you are looking for a hardcore guild, you may want to look elsewhere. For now the guild is going back to a casual friendly guild. There may be raiding from time to time, PvP, achievement runs, etc. but it will all be more casual and with friends. Bribarian and I will still be in contact both here on the site, and via e-mail. Please be warned that Bribarian doesn't check his mail very often but I do. Mine is gta4@comcast.net and Bribarian's is brirbro25@comcast.net. We both wish you the absolute best and do hope to be back in the near future! Thank you all for your amazing support in the guild and the wonderful friendships we have all gained with each other.
Please feel free to download the above picture, or if you want a different image, I do make them, so please toss me an e-mail and I can customize some stuff. Again thank you and we wish you the happiest of holidays!

Korialstrasz 4-Year Anniversary Today
Our server, Korialstrasz, named after the dragon from the Red Dragonflight, Korialstrasz, is four years old as of today! The realm was created November 16th of 2006. Korialstrasz has an approximate population of around 15,000 making it a Medium Population server and has an Alliance to Horde ratio of 3 to 1. Dragons of Abyss was founded on this realm around eight months later, in July of the following year. To celebrate this, Korialstrasz allowed me to take his picture! Check him out, he's the dragon in the picture above!
On a side note, Patch 4.0.3 is live today! No, nothing happened, it's just the information for the Shattering. All the changes that you are downloading with this patch will actually be seen and take place in 4.0.3a. Blizzard is simply getting everyone ready. See you all in-game!

The Big Questions, Guild Breakdown, and How to Prevent It
We are at the point of the game cycle where many guilds are seeing a downturn in membership, focus, and success. I wanted to make a quick article here, to explain just a couple of things that could lead to the break down of a guild at this point in time with the expansion at it's end and a new one soon coming out.
There is a total of 3.5 raiding weeks left in this expansion! With farmed content, that's enough to get people too bored to want to continue trying. This causes lack of focus and effort. As well, with farmed content, people start to think everything is trivial and easy. When people think they are good enough to faceroll anything, they tend to get too big of heads and can start messing easy things up. Again, losing focus and a sense of effort. Both of these lead to the break down of a guild. People need to realize that some are putting in their full focus and effort and it's rude in their eyes that others are not. Everyone should always focus for the other people's sake! Because the new expansion is so close, people cannot just forget how to try. If there wasn't a new expansion coming out so soon, would you have quit trying?
I bring this up, and only briefly, because I have personally seen it happen to many guilds and to our guild in the past expansion and content patches. There is a long list of guilds, that were sought after by so many want-to-be hardcore raiders, that now there are not very many serious progression raiders left on our realm. Just to name a few, Vindication, Aftermath, Relentless, Greatly Exaggerated, BlackFlag, House of Pain, Paradigm Shift, etc. I could literally list half of the guilds there were in TBC that are no more, and some who broke down in the middle of ICC in WotLK!
So what can we do to prevent this? Simple! All we need to do is remember our roots. Remember where we each came from. Every single one of us had to learn to be a good raider and had to learn to work as a team to defeat all we've come to and have owned. Every one of us has been criticized by other people and every one of us has looked up to another player who is so much better than us. Every single person can improve in one way or another! There is ALWAYS room for improvement! We just need to remember that we are never perfect and that we are not the best this game has to offer. But we all enjoy working together, and want to continue working together for many raids and content patches to come! So for the sake of the guild, the team, your friends in the guild, and the sanity of many, do not forget where we have all come from and how we got here! Hard work, sweat, and tears!
Good job everyone, I am so incredibly proud of everyone in the guild and what we have accomplished and what we will accomplish! Here is to many more Tiers of raiding and faces of rolling! CHEERS!
